“Education is one thing no one can take away from you”
– Elin Nordegren
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Standardised assessments still matter, despite all the progress made in education in other ways.Till the world finds a better way to evaluate academic prowess, written examinations will continue to hold centrestage. Because colleges and universities still prioritize them while offering admissions and scholarships. Yes, giant strides have been made to accord higher weightage to non academic excellence, but not enough to replace academic excellence.
Hence right now, all primary and secondary school students are immersed in writing their academic year ending examinations. The atmosphere on campus is therefore one of quiet sobriety - well, as far as is possible for the young and the restless! Some students take to this phase easily, as if to the manor born. Some find it a heavy and strenuous phase but are resilient and resourceful enough to take it in their stride - and some really really struggle with it.
To varying degrees, they all carry a lot emotionally and psychologically at this time. We at our end are trying our best to keep them strong and supported in every way we can. The mentors and counselors and coordinators and subject teachers are providing them the shoulder to lean on and also the safe space they need. As parents and guardians, we urge you to be more patient and more calm than you may normally be with them.
Even the little ones, our Early Years children, are exhibiting their skills through every assembly and every showcase opportunity organised in class. Of course they are doing it merrily and far less self consciously - as only little children can!
To this annual culmination of learning, and to these hallowed portals of growth, let us all pay due attention, and make them all feel seen, and heard.
But just academia is not what I want to leave you with. We are now the Southern Zambia ISAZ Athletics champions, Juniors (both boys and girls). And we are also trophy holders in the District Spelling Bee competition (Secondary). As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words - so here we are!
Warm regards
Shouquot Hussain

The final examinations, which are now taking place, give IGCSE 1 and AS level students an idea of how well they have studied thus far. They should utilize this time to plan for their next board examinations. Students should carefully arrange their study schedule, in order to maximize their vacation time and ensure that they are well prepared for their exams. For them to succeed academically, time management and efficient study methods will be crucial.
All the very best to our IGCSE 2 and A Level students who have just completed their Board Examinations this week. Now it is time for them to take that deserved breather, and to reflect - as they wait for their results. A longish wait, I admit.
As we approach the end of another school term, we want to take a moment to reflect on the journey so far. This term has been filled with achievements, and moments of growth for all our students.
To each of our students – well done for the hard work, resilience, and kindness you've shown. Whether academically, socially, or emotionally, you've taken steps forward, and we’re proud of you.
On a more practical note, please remember that your presence and participation in school is mandated till 25th June - which will be the last day of school for you before the holidays - a fun day with class parties, closing assemblies and a grand opportunity to collect memories.
ECAs 2025/2026
We shall send a sign up form for ECA for the next academic year. Each student will only be allowed to register for two activities, one sport and one club. This will help the students have more interaction with their patrons. Take note of the paid up and non paid up activities. The paid up activities are optional, only those ready to pay will sign up for their children.
As the school year draws to a close, excitement is building across the Transition classes as we prepare for our upcoming 2nd Graduation Ceremony. This week, students from Reception, CP6, LS3, IGCSE 2, and A-Levels have been actively engaged in graduation practice sessions.
From learning walk-in dances to perfecting songs, speeches, and poems, each group is giving their best to ensure a memorable event. These sessions are not only about preparation but also about reflection — celebrating milestones, friendships, and the remarkable journey each student has taken.

Ongoing Exam Support
As exams are currently underway, we would like to remind you of the importance of maintaining regular attendance and punctuality. Arriving on time for each exam session is crucial to ensure students don't miss any important instructions or deadlines. We also encourage students to stay focused, manage their time effectively, and give their best effort in each exam. Your ongoing support and encouragement play a significant role in their success, and we appreciate your partnership in helping them achieve their academic goals.
As the athletics season officially comes to a close, we celebrate not just medals and podium finishes, but the incredible spirit of determination, teamwork, and growth shown by our students. From late afternoon practices to nail-biting finishes on the track and near record breaks, this season has been one of progress, passion, and pride.
The senior athletics teams managed to scoop 3 medals (Gerald Mpande won bronze in the U16 1500, Sean Mulikita got bronze in the U19 triple jump, and Andrew Eagle got the only silver medal as he finished 2nd in the U14 1500m. The junior athletics team proudly won the first-ever ISAZ title to be won by the school at any competition or level.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the parents whose encouragement and presence on the sidelines meant the world to our athletes. Your support fueled their drive and reminded them that every stride, every throw, and every jump mattered.
To our student-athletes — your commitment, resilience, and courage to push boundaries have been truly inspiring. Whether you were running for gold or simply chasing a personal best, you have shown what it means to compete with heart and grace.
And to our devoted coaches, who went the extra mile every day — your tireless efforts, guidance, and belief in our students shaped more than just athletic skill; you nurtured character and confidence that will last far beyond the finish line.
Last but definitely not least, we also extend heartfelt appreciation to our school administration. Your consistent support, resources, and willing guidance have made this season’s successes possible. Thank you for championing student development both on and off the field.
As we close this chapter, let us remember that success isn't only measured by medals. As one student-athlete aptly put it:
“Success is a journey, not a finish line. Every race, every practice, every setback and breakthrough — that’s what makes us stronger.”
Here’s to an unforgettable season. We look forward to building on this momentum as we head into new challenges and new triumphs! Let’s go LOTS!
Dear Parents/Guardian,

This survey will take 2-3 minutes of your time and give us valuable insights. We will share our key learning from the survey with you within 1 week of the end of this survey.
The survey will close on June 25, 2025.
