They have thick, soft, double coat, with a smooth outer coat and a downy undercoat it is usually gray, tan, or black, often with white markings. Red and pied colors with white shading around the head and belly are possible. The ears are wolf like, erect, and pointed. The eyes are almond shaped and usually blue, although brown and parti - colored brown and blue eyes are possible. The tail is long and bushy and curves loosely over the back. The Adult Female, husky stands about 20 - 24 inches high, and weighs 35 - 60 pounds, while the Adult Male stands at 53 - 60 centimeters.

This dog is known for its intelligence and for a gentle temperament. Their litter size is 6 - 8 puppies, and their life span is 12 - 14 years. They are friendly and gentle, as well as they are alert and outgoing. They are not possessive, like guard dogs, they are curious, but they are not usually aggressive with other dogs.

Origins
They are related to the Alaskan malamute, the American Eskimo dog, and the Samoyed. They originated in Siberia, in Russia.

These pups have a pretty rich history. One of these legends is my personal favorite, and you should hear it. I've only seen the movie about this Siberian - husky - wolf; Balto. Here is his form in the movie \/ (Below) . He has a monument in A park in New York. In the movie, it says that he helps a sled team get medicine to kids in Nome. Here he is in real life ----->.
