Have you ever gone to school and your teacher said ”good morning class today you will write a book ” or a slide on the south east. You have no idea what to write about? Well that’s what happened to me. I looked at some animals and found the Florida Panther. I fell in love with this majestic animal of wonder. I hope you will too, so enjoy my slide on the Florida Panther!
Adults look like a tan or rust color and can have a dark brown back. Their bellies are a creamy white. Kittens are gray with dark brown spots or black spots. Also 5 bands around the tail. The spots and bands are gone within 6 months. When grown up the female panthers are 6 feet and the males are 7 feet long.
Florida panthers eat mainly white tailed deer but also animals such as a wild hog. Some of the other animals are raccoons, armadillos, rabbits. Rats, birds are for a midnight snack a alligator is a challenge but panthers are fierce hunters. So that means any animal smaller than them. Like livestock is a dessert.
Panthers need a large place to run hunt and play this is called territory. A perfect territory has bushes to hide behind. Forests to hunt in lakes to drink from. Fields to run and play in. but the most important a rocky area for a den.
