When it sees a fish it hovers shortly then dives then the osprey sticks out it's legs and grabs the fish, then it flaps it's wings and turns the fish forward to make it more aerodynamic , ospreys do not cache their fish if the fish is larger than the osprey, the fish is discarded, carried around or left in the nest.
