Armadillos have a outer body armor that is hard but bends. The armor is 16% of the body weight. On the back of there armor is normally 9 but can be 8 to 11. Armadillos have bony scales on there head and there ears are coved in bumpy skin. There belly is a pale yellow there snout is pinkish. They have short legs and strong claws. There middle claw is the strongest and longest. They also have a long sticky tongue. the strongest thing I heard about them though is that there bullet proof.

The defence of the 9 banded Armadillo is very impotent. They have a hard shell and it is bullet proof. The like to run and hid when scared. They stand on hind legs to make pretorters scared of them.

A Armadillo eats ant's, termites and other small invertebrates . Beetles and cockroaches are also common for the Nine Banded Armadillo to eat. They also like to eat small spiders. Less than 10% of there diet is fruit.
