Life
Katy Ledecky was born in Maryland in 1997.
She started swimming at age 6, following in her older brother Michael’s footsteps.
and then at age 15 she joined the U.S. Olympic swim team.
in the 2012 olympic summer games she won the 800 meter.and she was the youngest swimmer at the meet. wow!
Better Than Ever
Katie Ledecky exploded onto the U.S. swimming scene in 2012 at the Olympic Trials, where she was the youngest swimmer at the meet.
she returned to school and continued to work and swim at NCAP with coach Bruce Gemmell.
in 2014 she broke the world record for 400 free and 200 free 800 free 1500 free and 800 free and she won 4 gold meals. and she was the first women to win 5 individuals.
