This one is the American white pelican. I don't think that a pelican can speak to you, reader, but I can, so I will tell you of the American white pelican.

Different animals react to certain things in certain ways. The American white pelican behaves in a certain way. It can eat several pounds of fish a day, and they mostly swim, or fly, rather than walk. They will live around the shore, around laker, or around rivers. They like to travel in large flocks, and and they respond to threats by flapping their wings aggressively and flying to a near stall area, or on land, and and adopt an upright posture, while grunting. If the threat is more severe, the pelican will lunge forward, jabbing with its beak. If more than two chicks hatch, one chick will kill, or harass the other. (Called siblicide.) At 2-3 weeks, a chick will leave the nest in flocks called creches. It will take 3 years for them to be independent.
Pelicans mainly eat fish. Different pelicans have different ways of doing this. A Brown Pelican dives into the water, and the American White Pelican circles around the fish, while scooping them up. The gular pouch can hold up to three pounds. (Let me guess. The White Pelican sounds much more pathetic after hearing about the Brown one. Don’t worry. They are both awesome.)
Om nom! Om nom nom! *smack* mmmmmm
Yummy fish! Lets eat some while we check out this image link!
The pelicans mass is 4.45 - 9 kg. It’s length is 127 - 165 cm. It’s wingspan is 244 - 290 cm. Its large and white and it has a gular pouch pouch, which is long, stretchy skin, reinforced with carbon fibers, to keep it from breaking. The gulag pouch and bill are flesh colored, or yellow! its feet are yellow, or bright orange. The pelican has feathers on its body, but not on its feet, bill or gular pouch.
My! You are a beauty!
The pair chooses a relatively flat site on gravel, sand, or soil near other pelicans. In a forest, the nest would be in a shrub, or under a tree. Both females and males use their beaks to rake up surrounding material to create a shallow depression, roughly 2 feet across with a rim no more than 8 inches high.
That is one stylish nest!
Alas, it is time for me to go. I have more pelicanish wonders to see. I hope you enjoyed my presentation, and I hope you have an Amazingly, absolutely, positively Birdfict day!
