The Jaguarundi is an amazing animal. They can be found in Northern Mexico, Central and South America, Texas and possible Florida. Out of all felines they are the most abatable in it's ability to occupy diverse environments. They can often be sighted near water and are not usually found above 6500 ft. The Jaguarundi tends to like low lands and habitats that are both open and closed. They like dry land, swamps and Savannahs.

Jaguarundis are carnivores, meaning they eat meat. There diet is mainly made up of small rodents and some rabbits, armadillos, opossums, quail, wild turkey, reptiles, frogs, and domestic poultry. Jaguarundi also sometimes eat fish that are found stranded in puddles.

The jaguarundi has a very interesting behavior. The jaguarundi is a very secretive animal, they are mostly diurnal but there peak of activity occurs at around 11 in the morning. Jaguarundis are good swimmers an climbers and overall a very interesting animal.

The jaguarundi looks a little like a weasel with long slender body and a small flattened head. There coats can occur in 3 main colors black, brownish-gray, and red. The jaguarundi has rounded ears and the kittens are sometimes spotted at birth, but the spots will disappear before adulthood. Some people even think that in the winter the coats get darker.
