Hello there! I give a LOT of information on things I know about, or can relate to! I'm here to tell you about the 14th president of the United States of America!! His name is Franklin Pierce! He did many things and had many fun facts to tell about himself! I'm here to tell you those facts! I hope you didn't want to hear from the REAL franklin Pierce! He’s been dead for over a century!
Franklin Pierce was the 14th president of the U.S.A. Or, the United States of America. It's sad to say, but he was rated one of the worst U.S. presidents.
Franklin Pierce had a pretty big family. His spouse was Jane Means Appleton Pierce. His father was Benjamin Pierce. His mother was Anna B. Kendrick. He had 4 brothers. Benjamin Kendrick Pierce, Charles Grandson Pierce, John Sullivan Pierce, and Henry Dearborn Pierce. He also had 4 sisters. Charlotte Pierce, Elizabeth Andrews Pierce, Harriet B. Pierce Jameson, and Nancy M. Pierce McNeal. Franklin also had 3 sons. Franklin Pierce, Jr. , Franklin Robert Pierce, and Benjamin Pierce.
I could only get these three! ---------->
Well, he was born in Hillsborough, New Hampshire on November 23, 1804. He lived there as a child and then (obviously) he'd lived in the White House as president. After, he and his wife lived and he died in Concord, New Hampshire. He died on October 8, 1869.
Well, these aren't really classified as good or bad but…..
He saw opposition to slavery as a threat, he valued democratic party unity highly, his priorities were “order, moderation, compromise and party unity.” And he graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine!
Benjamin Pierce (father) was a colonial soldier in the American Revolution. He was also the governor of New Hampshire and an American democratic politician. Jane Means Appleton Pierce (wife) was the First Lady of the United States from 1853-1857. His brother (Benjamin Kendrick pierce) was a Career Officer in the United States Army.
Well, he made it so in some places, slavery is legal, illegal, and then up to the country to decide. He also enforced the fugitive slavery act, and over all, he became president! Obviously!
