I'm not talking about Natchez, Mississippi, I'm talking about what lived there before it became Natchez, Mississippi. It was the native tribe, the Natchez. I know you will be saying "How can a place be a tribe?" well, the place Natchez was named after the people Natchez, so let me tell you about the history of the native tribe to live near the Mississippi River, the Natchez.
The Natchez tribe lived where Natchez Mississippi is right now! Near the Mississippi River! they arrived in 1682 and there at least 6000 Natchez in a tribe. They were some of in the natives in the Southeast!
The Natchez were mostly farmers, with corn as a primary crop. All of the natchez were excellent at pottery and made amazing fabrics. They also hunted, fished, and gathered berries.
The Natchez's houses were made out of wattle and daub, a framework of woven branches and poles plastered with clay. Like Most Native Americans, they made temples out of stones.
