What is the History of the Okc Thunder? The Okc thunder have changed their team 1 time. The Okc Thunder once started as the Seattle Supersonics Which was then changed from Seattle, Washington, to Oklahoma City. The Seattle Supersonics won 1 championship which was in 1979 Against the Washington Bullets.

Why did the Seattle Supersonics change into the OKC Thunder? The Seattle Supersonics changed because they failed to find public funding to build a new arena in the Seattle area so they moved to OKC with a 45 million deal with the city of Seattle to pay off the team’s existing lease at the Keyarena in Seattle.
Who founded the OKC Thunder and when? The Founder of the OKC Thunder, reached a settlement with the Seattle Supersonics (which I said in the History page) between the ownership group led by Clay Bennett In the 2007-2008 season. The Founder of the OKC Thunder is Clay Bennett.
Have the OKC Thunder changed? The OKC Thunder have changed from the Seattle Sonics to the OKC Thunder. They have traded and let out some of the best players in the NBA right now like James Harden, and Kevin Durant. People now think that the dumbest trade ever was when the OKC traded James Harden for Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb.
