A message from Principal Villavaso

Hello Cardinal Families,

Happy Thursday! I hope you enjoy your upcoming weekend!

Mark your calendar for the upcoming change in the calendar. LSC will observe Labor Day on Monday, September 4th, which means there is no school on Monday, September 4th. However, students WILL have school that following Friday, September 8th.

If your child is enrolled in Powerhouse and you plan to pick your child up in carline, please communicate this change with both with Powerhouse AND your classroom teacher. Once your child is checked into Powerhouse, you will be required to come into the building to checkout your child from Powerhouse.

As a reminder, parents can start observing in classroom and attending lunch on September 5th. You will be required to have your identification with you in order to check in. Parents, you may only bring food to YOUR child. Full pizzas and 2 liter bottles on soda are not permitted and will be turned away.

Campus Updates

Campus will be closed on Monday, September 4th, in Observance of Labor Day. Please mark your calendars! This also means that students will have school on Friday, September 8th.

We need your HELP!!! Please consider supporting Life School Carrollton as we raise funds for our Cardinal Store. Our students are working so hard to earn Cardinal Bucks, and we are really in need of some popular prizes and some much larger larger prizes. We've gotten 9 donations so far and we have much farther to go. This means that when people are looking for schools for their child, they are more than likely going to look at our school’s social media pages. That is why we try to be as consistent as possible in creating posts that show what our Cardinal Scholars are up to daily. Celebrate LSOC Homecoming

Help us celebrate Oak Cliff Secondary Homecoming! Free dress days the week of September 11 to September 14th. Consider attending the September 15th Homecoming Game to show Cardinal Pride and support our Oak Cliff Lions!

As we wrap up the month, I must say, we have been really super busy getting our routines and expectations down. As of today, we have had 71 Positive Office Referrals and that is amazing! We had our first Partners for Life meeting and have a great team starting to devlop. We hosted our first parent night, Superhero Academy, and had a great turn out. We hosted our first Spirit Night at Chick-fil-a and earned some extra money for our campus and students. We have about 60% of our parents who have completed the Parent/Guardian Survey and two classrooms that have had 100% participation - YEAH Kinder! They earned their popcorn party!! Woohooo!

Remember, if you haven't already, please go to our Galaxy Digital platform and become a Fan of LSC. This site will communicate important upcoming events and needs here at LSC. We have a CIP goal to have 80% of our LSC parents signed up as a fan, which helps meet our Charter School funding needs, so please help us out and sign up ASAP! Thank you so much
