For the past few weeks we have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with different activities on our campus. We have had visitors come and share and have had morning announcements in both Spanish and English.
We are finishing our special month by having students wear their favorite Hispanic attire, or a Hispanic flag shirt, or colors of Hispanic origin on Thursday, October 5th.
You are invited to join us for our Fall Festival on October 24th from 6:00-7:30! This will be a great evening full of family fun. This event will be full of games, food, and crafts.
We could use your help to make sure our Fall Festival the best it can be.

As a way to celebrate our 5 year anniversary as a Cardinal Family, we want to hear from YOU! Tell us about your LSC Story. You could've joined the Cardinal family yesterday or 5 years ago; at the end of the day, we all are family and we have a story. Below are some things you can talk about:
How you heard about LSC.
Why you enrolled your child here.
How the journey has been since enrolling your child here.
How LSC has grown your student/family.
The impact LSC faculty and staff have made on you, your student and your family.
Any shoutouts to teachers/staff.
We cannot wait to hear from you! If you would like to share your story, complete click here! If you have any questions or concerns, email Mr. Perry at edward.perry@lifeschools.net.
We need your HELP!!! We are half way to making our October 16th deadline to fully fund our Cardinal Store with prizes for our students! Our students are working so hard to earn Cardinal Bucks, and we are really in need of some popular prizes and some much larger prizes. Our fundraiser ends on October 16th so please click the link and consider helping support our kiddos with a tax deductible donation.
Well our Fall Fundraiser is coming to a close and I want to personally thank all of our parents and students who participated. Our online orders go through until Friday, October 6th but order form sales were supposed to be turned in on Tuesday, 9/26. If your student has still not turned their items in, please send them to campus ASAP.
This week is Fall Pictures, so please see the information above and remember, these are the photos that go in the yearbook. Make sure to watch your email for the photos and photo packets from Ivey Photography.
Thank you to all our parents who were on campus this week to help with Spanish Heritage Month, Johnny Appleseed events, and so many other great campus activities. Our Fall Festival is just around the corner and for those of you who signed up to help on our LSC Parent/Guardian Survey, either a room parent or our Fall Festival Committee will be reaching out to your for assistance. There will also be a Sign-Up Genius coming out to see and sign up for ways to help.

October in National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to focus and raise awareness on bullying and talk to your children about bullying.
Givers of Kindness! Most parents, grandparents, and teachers show kindness to children every day. We give them love and attention. We buy gifts, bake special treats, and work extra hard to make children feel a part of their families, cultures, and faith communities. We don’t make children happy when we simply enable them to be receivers of kindness. We escalate their feelings of happiness, improve their well-being, reduce bullying, enrich their friendships, and build peace by teaching them to be givers of kindness. https://www.rootsofaction.com/art-kindness-teaching-children-care/.
Be Givers of Kindness as a family this week!
Leave an uncarved pumpkin on a family's doorstep
Start a piggy bank for a cause
Bake cookies for a neighbor
Write a thank you note to someone or draw pictures showing gratitude
Lessons will be centered around educating students on what bullying is and what it is not as well as discussions and strategies for prevention. for more information about bullying and bullying prevention visit: https://www.stopbullying.gov/resources/facts
At Home Connection: Talk with your child about what it means to be an upstander. Help them decide ahead of time what they could do and say when they see someone being bullied or just being mean. Encourage their group of friends to decide together how they might stick up for another child.
OCT 18th is National Unity day and we will be participating by wearing orange to show our commitment to cultivating a kind and inclusive school culture for all. Pacer has unity shirts available if you would like to order for your child to wear on that day. This is not a fundraiser for us and we do not profit from the sale of these shirts, but an option for you. https://www.pacer.org/bullying/
If you have questions or concerns you would like to discuss I can be reached at 469-701-1355 ext 9204 or email me at rachael.ren@lifeschools.net
