Research consistently shows that reading aloud to children has a significant positive impact on their literacy development and overall academic success. Set aside time daily or weekly to read-aloud with your student. You can use our LifeLeader Literacy Connections to discuss the stories you read together. Share with us on social using #LifeLeadersRead.
I'm so excited to say we have had a wonderful fundraising month, with our Big Kahuna Event and our Raising Canes Spirit night. Money for these events will really help our school do more for our LSC Cardinal students. Our Raising Canes funds will be going to getting a Cardinal mascot costume and we are hoping we can pull that off. Our Big Kahuna Limo Bus to Cici's Pizza will be on Monday, October 30th and I'm so excited to celebrate with all of our students that sold 15 items or more.
Our Fall Festival is just around the corner and our Partners for Life Committee will be sponsoring and running our food concessions that night. All proceeds that are made will also come back into the school. We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents and community members making donations for this very special night.
