Campus Updates

Re-enrollment Ends January 29

Re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is now open and will run through January 29th. Click here to login and save your child's seat for next school year! Please contact your campus Enrollment Liaison if you have any questions or need assistance.

Now Introducing Chess Club

If your student in grades 3-6 is interested in Chess Club, please complete and submit the interest form by January 19th. Chess Club will meet after school from 4 pm to 5 pm the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

Last year we sold out the first week of May, and we will not be able to order any additional yearbooks! The deadline to order early is April 18th for only $20.

Hoping you are all warm and cuddly as you read this and that you enjoyed your extended weekend with your Cardinal(s). We have been very busy here at LSC, taking our MAP tests, working on our 2nd semester TEKS, celebrating the last semester's accomplishments, getting Positive Office Referrals, and working on classroom prizes/accomplishments! A big shout out to Ms. Craddock's 2nd grade class for having the most students/familys attend our Urban Air Spirit Night. Their class will be getting a popcorn party with Chirpie, our new full-size mascot.

Our next Spirit Night is on Tuesday, February 6th at Chuck E. Cheese, coupon's and information are above. Don't miss out of the family fun time and the some great pizza. We look forward to seeing you there. Our next Partners for Life Meeting is Thursday, February 15th and we will be planning and discussing all of the remaining events for this school year. If you are interested in impacting your child's education and partnering with your child's school, please join us from 4:15-5:00 PM, childcare is provided. assisting with this process, please reach out to your child's class room parent/guardian.

New Enrollment Opens February 1st

New Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year will open February 1st. Parents, this is the time to enroll your new kindergarten students or other siblings you wish to attend Life School next year. If you have family or friends that may be interested in attending Life School, please encourage them to apply by clicking here or pass along their contact information by completing this referral form. The new student enrollment lottery will be held on February 29th.

attendance matters!

Congrats to our 5th Grade Team for having 99% attendance last week. They have won either a popcorn party or extra recess, their choice!! Who is going to win this week?

Studies show how critical it is for students to be at school everyday, all day, all the way! To help support our LSC attendance, we are going to host a weekly competition. The class with the highest attendance percentage each week will earn either extra recess or a class popcorn party. Please make sure to help your student's class be the top class by making attendance a priority.

Digital Citizenship and Cyberbullying

Help your kids stay safe online.

Here are some strategies for supervising kids' online activity:

Spend time online together to teach your kids appropriate online behavior.
Keep the computer in a common area where you can watch and monitor its use, not in individual bedrooms. Monitor any time spent on smartphones or tablets.
Bookmark kids' favorite sites for easy access.
Check your credit card and phone bills for unfamiliar account charges.
Find out what, if any, online protection is offered by your child's school, after-school center, friends' homes, or any place where kids could use a computer without your supervision.
Take your child seriously if he or she reports an uncomfortable online exchange.

Warning Signs of a child Being Targeted by an Online Predator:

spending long hours online, especially at night
phone calls from people you don't know
unsolicited gifts arriving in the mail
your child suddenly turning off the computer or other device when you walk into the room
withdrawal from family life and reluctance to discuss online activities
