Happy Holidays Cardinal Families,
As the holiday season unfolds, I want to wish each of you a Merry Christmas filled with joy, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends. The spirit of Christmas is not only about festive decorations and cheerful carols but also about appreciating the people who make our lives meaningful, and you, our wonderful students, are at the heart of our Life School Carrollton community.
May this festive season bring you moments of happiness, relaxation, and the opportunity to create lasting memories with your loved ones. As your family embarks on your winter break, take time to recharge, pursue passions, and embrace the magic of the season.
Remember to reflect on your families achievements, both big and small, and savor the sense of accomplishment as your family looks back on the past semester. Your child's dedication and hard work have made our school community shine brightly.
May the coming year be filled with new opportunities, exciting adventures, and continued success in your child's academic journey.
Enjoy the festivities and cherish the moments of joy. As a reminder, our campus will be closed from Dec 25 to Jan 8. Classes will resume January 9.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Thank you so very much to our wonderful Partners for Life for providing a delicious breakfast for our amazing staff! A huge shout out to Jessica Aparicio, Kennedy Fleming, and Vanessa Cortez for decorating our staff room with a wonderful Christmas theme. Thank you Amber Boucher, Laura Druck, Deidre Raymond, Kennedy Fleming, & Deloris Davis for your donations of food for our staff. We are so unbelievably blessed by our Partners for Life team! Thank you from all of us at LSC and have a very Merry Christmas!
We are partnering with Tiff's Treats to raise funds for Life School Carrollton! From December 11th to December 24th, all purchases made online or via the app using our unique code: CARDINALS will give back 20% to our LSC campus. The highest fundraising campaign sales this month will win an additional $1,000 and the highest for the year will win an additional $10,000 donation. Let's make LSC the big winner for the month and maybe the year! Start planning those yummy holiday treats/gifts now for your friends, family, staff, etc. and support your favorite school at the same time!
What a wonderful, jam packed week! Thank you to all of our amazing parents and family members who were on campus this week to help our teachers by volunteering in the classroom, setting up for our holiday performances and class parties, running classroom parties, cleaning up, teaching holiday projects, etc. It has been wonderful to have each of you here at LSC. Thank you also to our Cardinals for a wonderful holiday program.
As we leave for Christmas break, I hope you all get some time to enjoy your families, friends, and those you love. So many of us have so many wonderful things to stop and be grateful for, most of all the reason for the season.
I want to wish all of you the most "Merriest" of Christmases and look forward to 2024 and the Spring Semester. Thank you, as always, for being a Partner for Life in your students education!

Life School re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year will begin January 1, 2024. With the introduction of the 4-day school week calendar, we are experiencing increased interest in enrollment. If your child attends Life School, please watch your email for re-enrollment instructions so you can act quickly to reserve your child's seat for next year.
Congrats to our 5th Grade Team for having 99% attendance last week. They have won either a popcorn party or extra recess, their choice!! Who is going to win this week?
Studies show how critical it is for students to be at school everyday, all day, all the way! To help support our LSC attendance, we are going to host a weekly competition. The class with the highest attendance percentage each week will earn either extra recess or a class popcorn party. Please make sure to help your student's class be the top class by making attendance a priority.
The 2023-24 Student Handbook has undergone recent updates to reflect legislative changes. These revisions were approved by the Life School Board of Directors on September 20, 2023. Click here to see the letter to parents.
Happy New Year! Welcome to the January edition of the Counseling Corner. As we embark on a new year, we are excited to continue supporting the well-being and success of our students. New Year often means resolutions. To help you or your child to stick to their resolutions, play it SMART with SMART goals. SMART goals are a tool for setting resolutions that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Here's a breakdown of each part and tips on how to create SMART goals:
1. Specific: Be precise about what the goal means.
Example: Instead of a vague goal like "improve my grades," make it specific such as "raise my math grade from a B to an A by the end of the semester."
2. Measurable: How will you know when you've reached your goal? Include specific numbers, percentages, or other quantifiable metrics.
Example: Instead of "exercise more," make it measurable with "exercise for 30 minutes, three times a week."
3. Achievable: Ensure that the goal is realistic and attainable.Consider the resources, skills, and time required.
Example: If you haven't been running, setting a goal to run a marathon next month might be unrealistic. Start with a goal like "run a 5K in three months."
4. Relevant: Ensure the goal is aligned with your overall objectives and priorities.
Example: If your long-term goal is to become a software developer, a relevant goal might be "complete an online coding course to enhance programming skills."
5. Time-bound: Set a deadline for achieving the goal. Break down the goal into smaller, manageable time frames.
Example: Instead of saying "be more confident," make it time-bound with "write 10 things I like about myself by the end of the week."
Tips for Creating SMART Goals:
- Write your goal down. This makes it more tangible.
- Share your goal with someone who can provide support and accountability.
- Regularly review your goals.
- Celebrate small victories along the way.
- Keep in mind that goals may evolve as circumstances change.
