A message from Principal Villavaso

Hello Cardinal Families,

Happy Sunday! I hope you all have enjoyed your weekend. Thank you to everyone that came out to our Meet the Teacher/SEB Night. We had a wonderful time. 

This upcoming Thursday is Birthday Thursday! If your child celebrated a birthday in August, please feel free to provide a store bought birthday snack to your class. As an ongoing fundraiser, students are able to pay $5 for a free dress day on Birthday Thursday. 

Mark your calendar for the upcoming change in the calendar. LSC will observe Labor Day on Monday, September 4th, which means there is no school on Monday, September 4th. However, students WILL have school that following Friday, September 8th. 

If your child is enrolled in Powerhouse and you plan to pick your child up in carline, please communicate this change with both with Powerhouse AND your classroom teacher. Once your child is checked into Powerhouse, you will be required to come into the building to checkout your child from Powerhouse. 

As a reminder, parents can start observing in classroom and attending lunch on September 5th. You will be required to have your identification with you in order to check in. Parents, you may only bring food to YOUR child. Full pizzas and 2 liter bottles on soda are not permitted and will be turned away.

A.P. Avenue with Mrs. merry

It was great to see so many of you at our Superhero Academy this past Tuesday!  We hope you enjoyed getting to know your child's teacher, shopping at the bookfair, and enjoying some fun LifeLeader Superhero activities.  As we mentioned at our presentation, we are asking ALL parents/guardians to complete our Parent/Guardian Survey.  This information will really help to support your child's education, classroom and teacher.  If you haven't yet completed it, please do so ASAP.  Classrooms that get 100% parent/guardian participation earn a popcorn party - see current standings below.  We also are asking all LSC parents/guardians to join our Galaxy Digital platform and most importantly become a Fan @ LSC.  This site will communicate important upcoming events and needs here at LSC.  We have a CIP goal to have 80% of our LSC parents signed up as a fan, which helps meet our Charter School funding needs.  So please take a few moments.  Thank you in advance. 

Here at LSC we celebrate students good LifeLeader behavior and choices with Cardinal Bucks.  Students can take their Cardinal Bucks to our Cardinal Store and go shopping for fun items.  However, our Cardinal Store needs your help!  We need great prizes for our kiddos. Please, please, please consider funding our Donors' Choose project at PBIS Cardinal Store Prizes For LSC.  Our project is only partially funded and expires on October 16th.  The smallest donation will help.  Thank you for your continued support of our Cardinals!
