A message from Principal Villavaso

Hello Cardinal Families,

What an amazing first week of school. This week we practiced our routines and procedures and our Cardinals are looking great. We also practiced our Secure, Hold, Lockdown, Bad Weather, and Fire drills.

August 15 Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night from 5-7pm. Don't forget to mention our name.
Aug 16 Partners for Life Meeting from 4:15-5pm
Aug 22 is Superhero Academy: UnLeash the LifeLeader in You Event from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Check out details below.
Aug 21- Aug 24 is Scholastic Book Fair! The Book Fair will also be opened during our Superhero Academy!

Campus Updates

A.P. Avenue with Mrs. merry

What a great first week we have had! It's so great to see so many happy faces on our campus. This week we had 20 Positive Office Referrals, and some of the students are featured below, while others will be featured next week. I just love celebrating our LifeLeaders!

We were excited to see so many of you (453 to be exact) view our school Galaxy Digital site, but only 33 of you signed up as "Fans". Please don't forget, you must do that as well so you can be informed. Here is the link: Fan @ LSC

As of today, we only have 21 parents who have completed our Parent/Guardian Survey Mrs. Roberson is in the lead with 5 completed so far. Remember the classes who have 100% participation will earn a classroom popcorn party. Parents/Guardians please take a moment to take our survey and earn your child's class a celebration!

Lastly, this coming Tuesday, 8/15, is our Chick-fil-A Spirit night where a percentage of sales goes straight back to our school. Then the next day is our first Partner's for Life meeting. Join us Wednesday, 8/16 from 4:15-5:00. This group works with teachers and administration to help support and enhance our campus and support your students LSC experience. All parents are welcome! I hope to see many of you at Chick-fil-A on Wednesday!

Free or Reduced LuncH

All families are asked to complete the Free and Reduced Price School Meal Application each school year, even if your child does not purchase school meals or you think your child may not qualify. Information collected through this application process provides opportunities for our campus to receive additional state and federal funding.

Please complete the Free and Reduced Price School Meal Application prior to the first day of school.

Parents are responsible for all charges incurred prior to the application being approved for benefits. We encourage parents to fill out an application prior to the start date of school each year to prevent negative balances from occurring.

Free and Reduced Lunch Status does not carry over from year to year. Application is required annually.
