Hello Cardinal Families,
Happy Thursday! We had such a wonderful week of fun activities. It was wonderful to see all the students participating in the dress up days. I was so impressed with student behavior during the assemblies with the attention and focused students gave to our presenters. Way to go Cardinals.
Help us keep morning arrival safe by utilizing the car line to drop off students. Students should not be dropped off in the front and allowed to walk across the parking lot to the side or front entrance. This is a serious danger to student safety and adds to traffic congestion. We have arrival procedures in place to enhance efficiency and safety. Thank you for adhering to these procedures and modeling Citizenship.
Join us at the Cotton Patch on September 19th for our next Fundraiser. Present the Cotton Patch flyer in the newsletter to your server and Cotton Patcch will donate 20% of pre-tax sales back to LSC. Thank you in advance for supporting our campus.
As always, we are here to serve. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any assistance.

We are in week #2 of our Big Kahuna Fundraiser. Have you created your child(s) online account? Starting this past Tuesday student's started bringing in their ticket vouchers for prizes. Tickets are collected each Tuesday & Thursday from 8:30-9:30. Remember that ticket voucher's must be signed by a parent to acknowledge that the student did sell the required number amount. Remember, this fundraiser can be done online or via the paper packet your student came home last week. Students who sell 15 items or more will earn a limo pizza lunch! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Merry.
As a way to celebrate our 5 year anniversary as a Cardinal Family, we want to hear from YOU! Tell us about your LSC Story. You could've joined the Cardinal family yesterday or 5 years ago; at the end of the day, we all are family and we have a story. Below are some things you can talk about:

Why you enrolled your child here.
How the journey has been since enrolling your child here.

The impact LSC faculty and staff have made on you, your student and your family.
Any shoutouts to teachers/staff.
We cannot wait to hear from you! If you would like to share your story, complete click here! If you have any questions or concerns, email Mr. Perry at edward.perry@lifeschools.net.

Opportunities to read exist all around us! Environmental print is the print we see daily in the form of logos and signs. Young children learn how to recognize this type of print first. As we spend time in the world daily, parents can encourage young readers to practice their reading skills by observing:
Street signs
Restaurant menus
Store signs
Billboards
Reading can be turned into games, such as an alphabet hunt while driving or shopping at the grocery store. Even watching TV can promote reading skills when parents turn on the closed captioning by allowing students to match the words they hear with the words they read.
How does your family promote a Culture of Reading in your home? Share with us on social media using #LifeLeadersRead.
When you are ready to lead, you have a willingness to serve the interest of others regardless of your own personal gain. You value what others say, listen well, speak kindly, and show gratitude. You are able to forgive others, admit when you do not know something, show confidence, and recognize the strengths in others. By doing these things, you are using the LifeLeader attribute, HUMILITY.
