Our annual fundraiser began on Wednesday, September 6th and runs through Tuesday, September 26th. Prizes for sales coupons will be awarded out each Tuesday & Thursday beginning September 12th. Please make sure that students only bring their tickets to turn in on Tuesday's & Thursday's and also don't forget to make sure that a parent/guardian has signed off on any coupons your child will be submitting. Remember, this fundraiser can be done online or via the paper packet your student came home with on Wednesday, 9/6. Students who sell 15 items or more will earn a limo pizza lunch! Go Cardinals!! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Merry.
Help us celebrate Oak Cliff Secondary Homecoming! Free dress days the week of September 11 to September 14th. Consider attending the September 15th Homecoming Game to show Cardinal Pride and support our Oak Cliff Lions!
On Monday, September 11th we will be honoring National Patriots Day with an assembly from "Carry The Load". Carry the Load was founded by Veteran U.S. Navy SEALs, Clint Bruce and Stephen Holley. Carry The Load started as a mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day and patriotism. Today, it has grown to include more than just our military heroes and more than just the one holiday. Carry The Load works to bring all Americans together to participate in honoring our nation’s heroes every day. This year, LSC is honored to have John Kohlschein, a US Veteran, coming to speak with our students.
Students may wear red/white/blue colors on this day, or a patriotic shirt (uniform bottoms). This is not a free dress day, so if students don't have something patriotic to wear, they should wear their uniforms.
What a great first month we had! We have some fun events coming up. I'm looking forward to enjoying some yummy comfort food at our Cotton Patch Restaurant Spirit Night on September 19th. We are in the mist of our Fall Fundraiser, "The Big Kahuna"! Remember, all the money raised that comes back to our school goes directly to our students! Make this the year that our fundraiser reaches an all time high! This fundraiser can be done online with orders place there or via the paper order form. The last day for our Fall Fundraiser is September 26th and our top prizes go fast, so don't forget to have your student turn in their donation slips on Tuesday and/or Thursday each week.
