RMA
Once Tesla has confirmed that the material is faulty, Tesla will initiate a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Details regarding point of contact will be discussed with you over the phone and will be documented within your Concern Communication Log. Please review to ensure the point of contact information recorded is correct.
RMA Process
1. Confirm the warehouse contact name, warehouse contact phone number, and warehouse address through the Communication with Tesla.
2. To find and follow Shipping Information, navigate to the “Parts” tab within your Concern.
3. Hovering over the tracking number will reveal additional shipment details, including the shipment number, carrier name, and shipment date, providing quick and easy access to more information.
A Material Review Board (MRB) is a tracking mechanism for Tesla analysis and remanufacturing. A MRB is created for each failed or faulty part replaced in the field when the disposition is “Return”.
Note: If the disposition comes back as "Scrap", the part may be scrapped at your convenience.
