This course will walk you through the updated process for commissioning SolarEdge residential inverters using the new Single SKU model. Whether you're an installer, designer, or support technician, this training will help you understand:
What’s changed and why
How to use the new SolarEdge Go app
How to select the inverter power class
How to apply the correct physical label
How to avoid common mistakes and get support
🔔 Quick Terminology Reminder:
SKU = A Stock Keeping Unit is an alphanumeric code that is created to track a specific product within inventory systems
Part Number = A unique alphanumeric identifier for a specific product design within a manufacturing lifecycle
Model Number = a unique alphanumeric code that identifies a specific product, differentiating it from other versions or models from the same manufacturer
As SolarEdge moves to a single SKU, there will be one part number to cover multiple model numbers. This makes it that much simpler.
How to commission the inverter
Download the SolarEdge Go app
Use the provided label stickers
Apply the correct sticker to the top half of the existing inverter label based on the approved plan set
Power up the inverter
Connect by scanning the inverter QR code
If you are unable to connect by scanning the QR code, select the manual commissioning option.
Using SolarEdge Go, select the proper power class
This selection is locked after commissioning
This MUST match the label that was just applied to the inverter!
Complete commissioning the inverter using the commissioning Wizard
Ensure your system is producing and you have collected all the required site photos.
