Follow these steps when handling design deviations from the installation crew.
Take the Call:
Answer the call from the install crew and follow the Call SOP.
Access the Account in Aurora:
Pull up the customer’s account in Aurora.
Create a Duplicate Design:
Duplicate the Final Design model and rename it DC@I.
Refer to the Installation CD:
Open the Installation CD to review the designer's notes.
Collect Required Photos:
The crew must send photos of the area they want to change, showing:
Chalked Layout: Photos must show the layout where it does not fit as designed.
Smaller Roof: Photos with measurements showing the roof won't fit the design.
Obstruction:
If it was an obvious oversight, chalking isn't necessary.
If not obvious, the crew must chalk the area to show the issue.

Proposed Change:
The crew must draw up a proposed change and get it signed by the customer.
Check Jurisdiction Requirements:
Use Highline to verify if the jurisdiction allows the change.
Types of Layout Changes:
Soft Layout Changes: These don’t need manager approval. Examples include:
Installer preference (for easier installation).
Shifts within the same roof section.
Hard Layout Changes: These require manager approval (Joe, Ethan, Cam or James). Examples include:
Production drops of more than 5%. Or Increase by 10%
Moving or adding panels to a different roof section.
Create a Change Order (CO):
Once the deviation is finalized, create a CO for compliance to process the design change, and log the error.
Use this process for making electrical design changes during installation.

Access Site Survey Photos:
Pull up the electrical photos from the site survey.
Collect Issue Photos:
Have the crew send photos of the issue, such as:
The need for interconnection changes.
Possible drywall damage.
Incorrect details (e.g., a subpanel that was listed as back-to-back but is actually in the middle of the home).
Review Proposed Solution:
If the solution seems reasonable, proceed with the change order.

Create a Change Order:
Once all necessary details are collected and confirmed, create a CO for the changes.
