How SureStart Works

SureStart is designed to reduce the in-rush current, which is also known as Locked Rotor Amps, or LRA. What this means in simple terms is:
Many AC units use a LOT of power when they turn on
Many will use 3-6x more power to start than when they are running continuously!
As you can see in the picture above, this AC unit needs a lot of power to turn on, which may cause Powerwall to turn off. To prevent this, we recommend installing the SureStart Soft Starter, which will reduce the in-rush current significantly.
Once SureStart is installed, the AC unit will require less power to start, which prevents exceeding Powerwall's maximum available in-rush current.
