Day 1: Let's browse the databases to find a primary source image.
Day 2: After selecting a topic, find a background article and begin taking notes. You may decide to change your topic after reading about it.
Day 3: Find another secondary source! You may want to find a more specific article. Use a keyword from your first article to narrow in.
Search for your topic
Find the source type you want by clicking on the "Filters" option
Images = Media (Photos & Illustrations, Political Cartoons, Maps)
Primary Source = Documents (Speeches, Letters, Newspapers, etc.)
Biographies = Biographies
Click the "Cite" button to access citation information

Search for your topic
After searching, click on the source type to filter your results (Articles, Primary Source, Images, Videos, News)
Images = Images (with more options along the right hand side)
Primary Source = Primary Source (with more options along the right hand side)
Biography = Articles (and select from the right hand side)

Find a Historical Timeperiod using our Databases
Once you have found a topic of interest, read through the overview article to dig a little deeper!
