Argentina's Dirty War

Essential Question:

How should the events of Argentina's Dirty War be labeled: Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, War Crimes, War?

In this project, your research should answer the following:

*What are specific examples for each of the 8 stages

*What aspects of the Argentina events fit into the Waller model?

*What aspects of the UN definition are present in the events?

*Who were the main perpetrators, victims, and bystanders?

*How were these events dealt with? How are they continuing to be dealt with today?

For any of these questions, you can answer the negative counterpoint. (i.e. specific examples of how the eight stages are not addressed, how the events don’t fit the UN definition)
