Topic & Question Development

Use this document to take preliminary notes on your social problem, keep track of potential sources, and begin to develop research questions.

REMEMBER:

Questions must be OPEN enough to permit some flexibility in locating relevant sources, but not so broad as to provide little or no direction
Questions should help you examine CAUSES of a specific social problem so that you can collect relevant data and analyze it.
Questions should help you identify a SPECIFIC research method for your investigation.
