Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day
On Wednesday, February 28th the students were encouraged to wear pink shirts in support of anti-bullying. Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when two high school students in Nova Scotia witnessed a Grade 9 student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They convinced fellow classmates to wear pink to show that they stand against bullying. The Grade 4 students listened to a few stories, participated in class discussions and worked on designing their own Pink Shirt.
