This is an option subject.
Course Length: Half Year Course (One Semester)
Teacher in Charge: Rogan James (JMS)
In this course, students will gain skills and knowledge in the Visual Arts.
Students will develop an understanding of a range of photographic processes starting with the Photography Darkroom. Students will learn how to create images without a camera using an enlarger and 'black and white' photography techniques. Students will construct their own pinhole camera, and learn how to use these to 'shoot' a range of pinhole photos.
COURSE COSTS
Students will be expected to pay a course contribution as part of this course. This covers the cost of specialist take-home materials and an art workbook, and the amount will be confirmed in 2026.
Students will have access to digital SLR cameras and lenses during class time, but having their own camera would be an advantage.
