In this course, students will gain an understanding of how Te Reo Māori is the key to understanding the Māori world. Students will communicate about the vitality of the language before 1970, and identify key historical factors and their impact of Te Reo Māori.
Through this course, students will be able to demonstrate correct use of vocabulary, identify and demonstrate features of oral language fluency and fluidity, as well as learn to identify and articulate a variety of strategies to communicate in Te Reo Māori.
