Admission to this course is by INVITATION ONLY.
This course covers the key numeracy skills required to be ready to sit the Level 1 Numeracy Common Assessment Activity (CAA). Students will also have an opportunity to work towards completing the 5 credits Numeracy component of the New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Living for Supported Learners.
ACADEMIC COURSE OUTLINE
The following standards will be offered throughout this course:
Unit Standard 29308 v3 - Use functional numeracy skills in a range of day-to-day contexts
Internal Assessment, worth 5 Supported Learning credits
Unit Standard 32406 v3 - Use mathematics and statistics to meet the numeracy demands of a range of situations
External Assessment, worth 10 credits
Total credits available for this course: 15 NCEA Level 1 credits (including 5 credits towards the New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Living for Supported Learners)
