Course Length: Full Year

In this course, students will become more confident with Kanji, and explore a wider range of grammar and language features to communicate in Japanese more effectively and in greater depth.
Students will increase their cultural knowledge and develop empathy by discussing different perspectives and experiences. Topics include daily life, youth issues, and cultural practices in Japan and Aotearoa.
Students will continue to build core language skills: listening, reading, communicating through writing and speaking, and presenting.
COURSE COSTS
There is a $25 per student course contribution as part of this course. This covers the cost of various in-class activities, and the amount will be confirmed in 2026.
There may also be the opportunity for a course-related trip, with an approximate cost of $10 (to be confirmed in 2026).
