Item Groups are used for a multitude of purposes. They are a collection of items in a group that can be used for promotional purposes such as group discounts, loyalty, as well as reporting.
To add a new Item Group
Select the + at the bottom of the Item Groups screen
In the Add Item Group screen, you will enter a name for the Item Group under Description
You can add Items based on the following two options
Items - this will allow you to scan items manually or to search for the items by typing in their code or item name
Rules - this will allow you to select one or multiple of the following conditions to have those items be automatically added to your item group
Department - will allow you to designate a specific department(s) for this item group, or omit a specific department for this item group
Item Group - will allow you to use other item groups items that are active in Percent POS for this item group
Once you have added the items, press Save to activate your item group.
