Scheduling for the 2023/2024 school year will begin soon
Students who are interested in competing in athletics at the Division I or Division II collegiate level must meet the academic requirements of the National Collegiate Athletics Association. To be certified by the clearinghouse, students must:
Graduate from high school - final certification will be issued only after the clearinghouse receives and reviews the student’s final transcript.
Earn a grade-point-average of at least 2.00 in acore curriculum of at least 16 academic courses, including at least:
Four years of English
Three years of math (including Algebra I or higher).
Two years of natural/physical science (one lab if offered by high school).
One additional year of English, math, or natural science.
Two years of social science.
Four years of additional academic courses.
Satisfy the sliding scale for grades and ACT score (total of the four tests); 2.00 grade-point-average on the required courses need an ACT or 86; 2.50 grade-point-average on the required courses needs an ACT score of 68; 3.55 or higher grade-point-average needs an ACT score of 37.
