This course is for students served under an Individual Education Plan (IEP).  It focuses on individualized instruction in the areas of reading, writing, math, and behavior.




ST-AT STRATEGIES

OPEN TO: 9, 10, 11, 12

PREREQUISITE: CURRENT IEP

GRADUATION REQUIREMENT: NO

This course is for students served under an Individual Education Plan (IEP).  Students in this class work on behaviors and social skills needed to be successful after high school.




SOCIAL SKILLS

OPEN TO: 9, 12, 10, 12

PREREQUISITE: CURRENT IEP

GRADUATION REQUIREMENT: NO

CAPACITY: 15


Social Skills/Life Skills are courses that are used in the Special Education curriculum to teach and home skills for the students to be successful in social settings as well as in life. Students will take this course daily, for the entire school year. The focus of this course is for the students to attain and acquire skills that are necessary to become a productive member of society.




LIFE SKILLS

OPEN TO: 9, 10, 11, 12

Life Skills are courses that are used in the Special Education curriculum to teach and home skills for the students to be successful in social settings as well as in life. Students will take this course daily, for the entire school year. The focus of this course is for the students to attain and acquire skills that are necessary to become a productive member of society.

Areas of focus include; personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, banking, maintaining employment, writing skills, and basic computer skills.
