AUTO 3 - MULTIMETER CERTIFICATION AND ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS

This course will provide students with an in-depth understanding of the usages of a multimeter, and then provide the students with the knowledge and opportunity to become certified through the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) and Snap-On in multimeter usage. This course will take a look at electrical diagnosis as it relates to automotive repair.



AUTO 4 - ADVANCED AUTO

PREREQUISITE: B OR BETTER IN AUTO 3

This is an internship where the student will be working in a local business side by side with an Automotive Technician. 


AUTO BODY

OPEN TO: 10, 11, 12

PREREQUISITE: C OR BETTER IN BASIC AUTO

This course is for the student wishing to learn about body repair in the automotive industry and its career possibilities. The student will have the opportunity to learn how to work safely in a shop setting, along with gaining the knowledge of how to use associated tools and equipment. We will learn about structural components of the automobile. Students will learn how to assess and estimate damage to a vehicle.



BASIC AUTO

PREREQUISITE: NONE

This is the beginning course that will introduce the automotive industry to the student. Topics will consist of career opportunities in the industry along with educational requirements to pursue career opportunities. Safety and tools, associated with the working automotive shop environment will be introduced and implemented. The final portion of this class will be the students operating a working automotive shop responsible for performing oil changes and tire rotations.
