Anatomy/Physiology is an elective course designed to educate students who are interested in science, especially the fields of health and medicine. With an increase in the average age of our population there is a need and a demand for health service employees.
The course that will enable students to develop an understanding of the relationships between the structures and functions of the human body. This course will involve laboratory activities, projects, dissections, textbook material, models and diagrams.

Chemistry is a laboratory-oriented course about the identification and composition of matter, properties of matter, and the ways in which substances interact. The writing of laboratory reports will be emphasized. This course is recommended for college-bound students. Chemistry must be taken in conjunction with Physics to satisfy common core elements for physical science.

Forensics is an elective course for students interested in pursuing a career in the criminal justice field after high school. Forensic science is the application of science to the law and encompasses various scientific disciplines. The course is designed around authentic performance assessments with students working in teams to solve a crime using scientific knowledge and reasoning with emphasis in complex reasoning and critical thinking.

Microbiology is the branch of science that studies microorganisms from the domains prokarya and archaebacteria. This course is oriented toward those planning to attend college, specifically those interested in pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, and related fields. Students will investigate microbial activities and properties, and conduct experiments designed to familiarize them with the handling, identification, and characterization of microorganisms and their activities.

Zoology is an elective course for students interested in the life science field after high school.
