Earth Science is a course in which students will study concepts about the planet upon which we live.  




BIOLOGY (HONORS SECTION AVAILABLE)

Biology is the study of life.  Topics of study include chemistry of life, homeostasis, cellular energy, cell cycle, DNA and heredity, ecology, and evolution.




PHYSICAL SCIENCE: CHEMISTRY

OPEN TO: 11

PREREQUISITE: BIOLOGY

GRADUATION REQUIREMENT: YES, OR A STUDENT MAY COMPLETE CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS

CAPACITY: 30

Physical Science includes elements from both chemistry and physics.  The chemistry portion of Physical Science introduces a basic understanding of Chemistry.  The course will focus on metric measurements, metric conversions, organizing data, matter, atoms, the periodic table, the structure of matter, and chemical reactions.  In the physics portion of this class, the basic level of physics will be explored.  Topics for this course include motion, forces, work, waves, and energy.
