The Automotive Technician Specialist Registered Apprenticeship Program is in partnership with Shottenkirk Automotive Group and is registered with the United States Department of Labor.  It is designed to be a two-year program, but the course is competency-based and the length of the program will be dictated by the individual student's ability to meet required standards.  The program requires satisfactory completion of Auto 3 and its prerequisites, as well as completion of Intro to Business.  The course will require completing the General Motors online training as assigned by the Shottenkirk Service Director.  The program requires at least 2,000 hours of on-the-job training through the Service Department at Shottenkirk.  Upon completion of the program, the student will be awarded a certification through the United States Department of Labor recognizing the achievement.
