This course designed to enable students to develop basic skills and knowledge in carpentry. 



CAPENTRY 2

OPEN TO: 10, 11, 12

PREREQUISITE: CARPENTRY 1

CAPACITY: 15


Carpentry 2 will be a continuation of the skills learned in Carpentry 1 with an emphasis on finishing skills.



CARPENTRY 3

OPEN TO: 11, 12

PREREQUISITE: CARPENTRY 2

A continuation of the carpentry progression, Carpentry III will have an emphasis on concrete as it relates to special systems, reading plans, and field engineering principles.



CARPENTRY 4 (CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT)

PREREQUISITE: CARPENTRY 3

Carpentry 4 will emphasize career exploration for students interested in the career and technical field.  Project safety, planning, and management will be emphasized.


INTRODUCTION TO CONSTRUCTION

Intro to Construction is designed to provide basic information and orientation for the construction industry. Students will be required to complete hands-on,  project based skills in the following areas of construction: math, safety, materials, tools, framing, drywall, and electricity with an emphasis on residential wiring.  Students will be required to follow all safety rules while in the classroom/workshop.
