Culinary is a basic course in food and nutrition. Nutrition and good health introduces scientific principles of nutrition and the relationship between eating habits and good health. Food skills focus on basic knowledge needed for food preparation tools and techniques. Managing food resources includes basic ingredients, using a recipe, working in the kitchen, safety, and sanitation. Food preparation, including the basics of baking, give guidelines for various food labs such as quick breads, muffins, bars, cookies, cakes, breakfast, egg cookery, grains, and snacks.
