Evaluation
1. The Board will conduct a systematic annual evaluation of its performance against its operational ground rules. Early in the school year, the Board will develop goals, together with indicators and assessment measures, against which it will measure its performance. The Chair will submit a written report for the May Board meeting, based upon required input from all board members and administrators, including the Head of School.
2. Early in the school year, Board committees will develop goals and objectives, together with indicators and assessment measures, against which their performance will be measured. The outcome of the evaluation should be a written report for the May Board meeting of how each committee views its performance. The Head of School’s view will be sought.
3. The Chair will be evaluated by means of an evaluation instrument based upon required input from all Board members and administrators, including the Head of School, which will be returned to the chair of the Trustees Committee who will prepare a written report for the May Board meeting.
