José Figueredo has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Instituto Superior de Lenguas from the National University of Asunción. He is a freelance translator and interpreter, registered by the Supreme Court of Justice as a public translator since 2011. He was an instructor of the Preparatory Course for the Competency Exam in Public Translation for the English - Spanish combination, offered by the ISL, from 2018 until 2020 and was in charge of the Sworn Translation Proficiency Exam for the English - Spanish combination from 2019 to 2021.

Elena Nuñez holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the Instituto Superior de Lenguas, Universidad Nacional de Asunción (ISL-UNA), a master’s degree in education from the University of Alabama (USA), and a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) from Trinity College London. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership from the Universidad Alberto Hurtado-Instituto Superior de Estudios Humanísticos y Filosóficos. Nuñez has been an ESOL teacher and trainer for over 15 years. She currently teaches at the ISL-UNA and is the bilingual education coordinator at a private school. Nuñez is a board member of PARATESOL, which is the Paraguayan affiliate of the TESOL International Association. She is also on the board of the Asuncion Maker Faire, which is an annual event that promotes the Maker Movement in Paraguay.

Rocio Mazzoleni holds a bachelor in English Language from ‘ISL, Universidad Nacional de Asunción” and master’s degrees in applied linguistics from the “Universidad Catolica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción”  and also in neuropsychology and education from “Universidad de la Rioja, Spain”. She teaches sociolinguistics and didactics at the Instituto Superior de Lenguas, Universidad Nacional de Asunción, where she also serves as academic coordinator for the bachelor’s degree program in English. She taught English to students with special learning needs from 1995 to 2007. As the bilingual coordinator of an inclusive school, Mazzoleni currently works with a team of professionals focused on meeting the needs of students with learning difficulties.

Ana Franco Hume holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from the Instituto Superior de Lenguas of the National University of Asunción, a Master's Degree in Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies from the University of Leeds, UK, as well as a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from West Virginia University, U.S.A. She is a freelance translator and interpreter and a registered public translator for the Supreme Court of Justice since 2011. She was an instructor for the Public Translation Proficiency Examination Preparation Course for the English-Spanish combination, offered by the Instituto Superior de Lenguas, in 2018 and 2020. She has vast experience in translation and interpretation in different areas and has worked for national and international companies. She has also created a boutique agency specialized in translation and interpretation called VerbaTeam with a colleague.

Jazmín Benítez is a translator and interpreter (Spanish-English). She has a Bachelor's degree in English from the UNA and a Master’s in translation from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS), in California with a Fulbright scholarship. She has worked as an English teacher and a university professor in Paraguay. She also participated in an internship in translation and interpretation at the Superior Court of Maricopa County, in Phoenix, Arizona. Currently, she is working as an independent translator for clients both in the United States and Paraguay.
