Fulbright-Cal scholarship holders Cohort 2021-2022 start their post graduate degree programs in the US.

Our English Language graduate, María Paz Cabrera will be doing a Masters degree on Financial Mathematics at the University of Chicago.

La asistencia a dicho evento es de carácter obligatorio tanto para el estamento docente como para el estudiantil. No habrán clases a esa hora en esa fecha.

María Asunción Rojas

I am María Asunción Rojas Morinigo, clinical psychologist. Currently, I am doing a second major in English at the ISL. I was selected as a Chevening Scholar 2021/2022. Chevening is the UK Government’s global scholarship programme that offers future leaders the unique opportunity to study in the UK. These scholarships are awarded to outstanding professionals from all over the world to pursue a one-year master’s degree. I will be doing an MSc. in Global Mental Health and Society at the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland. This opportunity will be the cornerstone to my professional main goal: address the imperative changes in mental health needed in our country.

Emma Torales, 4th Year

Hello! I'm Emma, I'm 22 years old and I'm currently coursing the last year of the English Major.

I founded the first Consejo De Delegados del Instituto Superior de Lenguas and currently I uphold the position of class representative for 4th year, student representative for the English Major and representative of the entire ISL student body.

Whenever students from any major of the ISL encounter any problems, I am there to assist them, walk them through a solution and more often than not simply solve the problem for them! I am also in charge of negotiations concerning our student body alongside CEFFUNA and I make sure that clear information is offered to us and that our dear ISL is always represented when big matters are concerned.

Celina Sanabria, 3rd Year.

My name is Celina and I am 21 years old. I am majoring in English language at the ISL.

Next month, I am going to Wichita State University in Kansas to do an exchange semester. I will be taking some subjects, such as Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Teamwork, Leadership and Group Communication and Sociolinguitics.

I am thrilled about this new experience and I look forward to learning so many things to bring back to Paraguay and share with everyone.
