Use this checklist (based on the reglamento de TFG) before submitting your TFG to the evaluation committee:
The thesis length is between 50 and 100 pages (from Introduction to Conclusion).
The document uses A4 paper size.
Font is Arial or Calibri, size 11.
Line spacing is double, except in footnotes, tables/figures, and similar elements.
First-line indentation is used throughout, except in the Abstract (no indent) and References (hanging indent).
Alignment is set to left, not justified.
Margins follow the required format:
Top: 2.5 cm
Bottom: 2.5 cm
Left: 3.5 cm (including binding space)
Right: 2.5 cm
✔ The thesis is hardbound.
✔ All pages from the Introduction to the Conclusion are numbered using Arabic numerals, according to APA rules.
✔ APA (latest edition at time of submission) is used for in-text citations and References.

The use of AI is prohibited for the following purposes:
Generating full sections of the thesis without the student’s own critical reworking.
Fabricating data, results, or empirical evidence (including nonexistent citations or references).
Replacing the researcher’s own bibliographic review, fieldwork, or critical analysis.
Presenting AI-produced interpretations or arguments as if they were the student’s original work.
Failing to apply the appropriate citation standards to any material obtained through AI.
The student has obtained written approval from the content tutor.
The student meets all prerequisites:
All courses passed
Required Extension hours completed
Library obligations settled
Fees paid
For the final defense, the student will submit hardbound copies and their corresponding CDs

1. Bring printed thesis proposal to Nilda, along with:
a. Printed carta de acreditación, signed by the tutor
b. Printed carta de delimitación del tema, title and Spanish translation of the title
c. Photocopy of ID
Nilda will ask you to fill out a form.
If the tutor is not an ISL professor also bring the professor's resume plus a photocopy of the ID.
The thesis proposal committee will read your proposal based on this criteria
2. Once the thesis proposal commitee approves the proposal, the thesis must be registered.
In order to register the thesis,
a. Fill out the form that Nilda gives you
b. Pay Gs. 140.000
c. You get the invoice for your payment
d. The ISL sends Filosofia the thesis to be registered in "Registro de Tesina"
3. Student writes the thesis with the guidance of the tutor.
4. Once the thesis is ready,
a. bring the draft to the ISL, along with the tutor's signed Dictamen, where the tutor states that the thesis is ready to be orally defended.
b. Pay Gs. 405.000
c. This form is filled out, stating the three readers' names
d. The ISL sends Filosofia the form and requests a resolution from Filosofia
5. Filosofia sends the resolution with three readers' names
6. A whatsapp group is created by the coordination, with the three readers in it.
7. Three readers read the thesis and suggest changes (if necessary). Then, the thesis is approved
8. Once the thesis is approved, the student joins the whatsapp group. The student is asked to go to Nilda with the printed copies and a defense date is agreed upon.
9. 5 Bound copies of the thesis must be brought to the ISL, with their respective cds. This form must be filled, asking Filosofía for a specific defense date.
10. After about three weeks, Filosofía approves the date for the defense and issues a resolution.
11. On the day set, the virtual defense is done.
