Course description:
In Stage 5 Science students are equipped to better understand the technological world of the twenty first century. The knowledge and skills they can develop will help them make more informed decisions about their health, lifestyle, work and their environment. The role of Science in their future careers is also a major emphasis. They will also gain skills in planning and conducting investigations, gathering and processing data, communicating information and thinking scientifically about their experiences.

Additional Course Information:
Special requirments: In Year 10 students are required to undertake an individual mandatory research project. This will involve 'hands on' practical investgation into a problem selected by students.

Students must wear fully covered leather shoes to meet safety regulations when in science laboratories.
Students require a covered & bound exercise book for this course (no folders or loose leaf lecture pads, no spiral bound books).
The exercise book, a pen, pencil and ruler must be brought to every lesson.
