Course description:
Our society acknowledges childhood as a unique and intense period for growth, development and learning. This course gives students an overview of development and related issues within an early childhood context. It provides the opportunity to consider a range of issues in relation to the individual student, their family & the community. As well as encouraging students to consider the implications for future interactions with children, be those as a parent, friend, carer or educator.

Successful completion of Exploring Early Childhood Stage 6 may result in TAFE credit transfer opportunities, employment in the Child Care Industry, Early Childhood Teacher.
Skills and knowledge learnt can also be applied to many other careers such as nursing, teaching, social work, counselling, hospitality, travel & tourism, any job which involves interaction with young children & their families really.
