Course description:

Is an appropriate pathway for students who have demonstrated some confidence with their study of Mathematics through Stage 4 (Years 7 and 8). Students will engage with review before being extended to learn new content, preparing them for trade pathways or continued study of Mathematics at the Mathematics Standard Level. 

Skills you will master:

Students will learn mathematics supporting confidence with real life activities, such as managing finances and budgeting, understanding measurement, understanding and interpreting data, plus more. They will also develop their skills with more abstract concepts such as Algebra and patterns, allowing them future options of study.

The 5.3 course is the recommended path for students aiming to study Mathematics Advanced in Years 11 and 12.
