Course description:
The Numeracy course supports students to develop the functional numeracy skills required to become active and successful participants in society. Students have the opportunity to develop these skills and apply them to situations in personal and community, workplace and employment, and education and training contexts.
Skills you will master:
Rates and Ratios in everyday contexts
Applications of measurements in a range of career contexts
Interpreting statistical information
Development of a portfolio of work targeted to a post school pathway of choice.

Career opportunities:
This course offers students the opportunity to prepare for post-school options of employment or further training.
This course is also a fabulous opportunity for students seeking to follow and an Apprenticeship pathway and who may not continue to the HSC.
Additional information:
The Numeracy course may be studied as a standalone course or in conjunction with the Mathematics Standard course, where the student would benefit from additional learning opportunities to strengthen their numeracy development.
We highly recommend that students have progressed through the Stage 5.1 Course in Years 9 and 10 and who elect to study the Mathematics Standard Course, also chose the Numeracy CEC Course.
