Course description:

This course will provide opportunities for students to develop relevant technical, vocational and interpersonal competencies suitable for employment and further training in the entertainment industry, as well as skills, knowledge and experience – such as teamwork, creativity and innovation. It will allow students to:

 

-Develop knowledge and skills in operating audio and lighting equipment and systems for concerts and performances 

-Develop knowledge and understanding of staging techniques and vision systems, including bump in and bump out procedures  

-Design flyers and posters to promote school events 

-learn about the music industry, including copyright and preparing for live performances 

-maintain safety in an entertainment setting 

-develop customer service skills
